As the school sports season draws to a close, there’s still plenty to cheer for this November on the SuperSport Schools App and DStv Channel 216!

SuperSport Schools #HereforHER Feature 🩷 💪
In this segment, we celebrate the Girls and Women in our ecosystem, from employees, to school and youth athletes. All the amazing women that contribute to the SuperSport Schools Brand!
This month’s first feature is Oluchi Ndubueze

At just 16, Ndubueze is proving to be one of South Africa’s most exciting young all-round athletes. Representing Central Gauteng, she sprinted to gold in the U16 100m (12.37 s) and silver in the national finals with a personal best of 12.02 s, while also finishing among the top five in the 200m and long jump. Her explosive pace and power have also made her a standout netball player, where her athleticism, quick reflexes and competitive edge have turned heads on court as well as on track.
The Rand Park High School pupil, has her sights set on the 2025 African U18 Championships and beyond. With her ability to excel across multiple sports, discipline beyond her years, and an unstoppable drive to improve, she’s fast becoming one of the brightest young stars in South African school sport and one to keep a very close eye on.

This month’s first feature in the MONTHLY SPOTLIGHT on SuperSport Schools is Leendert Koekemoer

Leendert Koekemoer, the 17-year-old from Helpmekaar Kollege, has taken the South African sprint scene by storm. In 2025 alone he clocked a blistering 45.03 seconds in the 400m, breaking a 31-year-old national junior record. A key member of South Africa’s gold-medal winning 4x400m relay team at the World Athletics Relays, his split of 44.23 seconds announced his arrival on the world stage.
With his mix of power, endurance and composure across the one-lap race, Leendert is already showing the hallmarks of a future national star.
