SuperSport Schools #HereforHER Feature 🩷 💪

In this segment, we celebrate the Girls and Women in our ecosystem, from employees, to school and youth athletes. All the amazing women that contribute to the SuperSport Schools Brand!
This year’s last feature is Megan Nieman

Nieman has emerged as one of Hoërskool Menlopark’s standout athletes, making her mark as one of South Africa’s brightest young hurdlers. She burst into national prominence after breaking the South African U18 record in the 100 m hurdles with a remarkable 13.12 seconds at the 2025 AGN Championships. Her speed, precision, and technical ability over the barriers have set her apart in a highly competitive age group.
She continued her exceptional form at the Curro Podium North meeting, winning both the 100 m hurdles in 13.20 seconds and the 400 m hurdles in 58.25, contributing significantly to Menlopark being crowned the top girls’ athletics team of the event. With her consistency and rapid progression across both sprint and long hurdles, Megan is firmly positioning herself as a future national champion and a major talent to watch in South African athletics.

This last feature in the MONTHLY SPOTLIGHT on SuperSport Schools is Jason Rowles

Photo: Floris van Schouwenburg (Gallo Images)
Rowles has quickly become one of St David’s Marist Inanda’s most reliable and impactful cricketers, known for his calm temperament and ability to reset mentally after every milestone. A powerful top-order batter, he produced several standout performances over the last two seasons, including a superb 150 against Bishops at the Fasken Time Cricket Festival and has shown a maturity at the crease that belies his age. His consistency has also been evident at national level, where he struck three half-centuries in four innings for South Africa U19, highlighted by a composed 90 (118) against England U19.
A genuine all-rounder, Rowles contributes with both bat and ball and was recognised nationally as the 2025 CSA U19 Men’s Player of the Year. With his work ethic, leadership qualities, and ability to perform under pressure, he has established himself as one of the brightest young talents in South African school cricket, only in Grade 11 and a player with a very exciting future ahead.
