December on SuperSport Schools: Closing Out the Year in Style
As the school sports season draws to a close, there’s still plenty to cheer for this November on the SuperSport Schools App and DStv Channel 216!
The school sports season might be winding down, but December on the SuperSport Schools App and DStv Channel 216 is packed with action and celebration as we wrap up another unforgettable year of youth sport.
Kicking off the month, the Curro Podium Northern Relays at Menlopark set the tone on 3 December, followed by the excitement of the Boat Race Regatta from 5–6 December. The pool battles continue with the SWPSA Water Polo IPTs hosted at St David’s Marist from 6–11 December, showcasing some of the best young talent in South Africa. From there, the James Mayinga Netball and Football Tournament takes centre stage in Bushbuck Ridge from 12–13 December, available to watch on the App, Channel 216, and SABC Plus.
Don’t miss our year-end celebration, the Class of 25 two-part special premiering on 6 and 13 December, honouring the standout athletes, teams, and moments that defined 2025. In partnership with Under Armour and Takealot!

SuperSport Schools Key Events for the Month of November brought to you by Airlink! ✈️
New Fleet, New Horizons
Airlink continues to grow its regional network, opening new routes that bring you closer to more of Africa’s remarkable destinations.
In February 2026, Nacala joins Airlink’s Mozambican network as its seventh destination in that country. Set along Mozambique’s north-eastern coastline, this new route connects business and leisure travellers to one of the region’s most dynamic areas. With calm beaches, a growing economy and rich maritime heritage, Nacala offers the perfect mix of opportunity and escape. Flights will operate twice weekly between Johannesburg and Nacala.
Further north, Zanzibar will soon welcome Airlink flights from Johannesburg, offering a new way to experience the island’s spice markets, coral reefs and historic charm. Beyond its tropical appeal, Zanzibar’s warm hospitality and growing economy make it a destination that inspires both travellers and investors. The new service will operate twice weekly from June 2026.
Together, these routes expand your reach across Southern and East Africa — connecting commerce, culture and discovery in true Airlink style.

Jenkinson, a junior surfer from Kommetjie, has enjoyed a breakthrough year on both the national and international stage. She won the 2025 Rip Curl GromSearch Series, securing her place as South Africa’s top U16 girl surfer after a strong performance at the Seal Point final.
Her success didn’t stop at home, Jenkinson travelled to Hossegor, France, for the Rip Curl GromSearch International Finals, where she delivered a powerful performance in heavy beach-break conditions to claim silver in the Premier Girls division. Her smooth rail surfing, composure under pressure, and ability to find great waves impressed judges and competitors alike.

This month’s second feature in the MONTHLY SPOTLIGHT on SuperSport Schools is Adnaan Lagadien

Lagadien, opening batsman for Bishops Diocesan College, continues to impress on the school cricket stage. During the inaugural now Switch Schools SA20 tournament, he was the top run-scorer with 170 runs, helping Bishops to the national title.
Known for combining aggressive intent with composure, Lagadien played a key role in the final, where he scored 22 off 19 balls to set a strong platform for Bishops. He’s also demonstrated consistency in longer formats, earlier in the season, he anchored Bishops to a T20 win by scoring a patient 44 in a seven-wicket chase.
At just school level, his performances have already earned him recognition at the national level as a South Africa U19 representative, and he’s widely regarded as one of the most talented young batters in the country.
