SA Schools Rugby Returns
France and England are in town for the U18 International Series!
Roses are Red, France are Blue
The U18 International Series is back with SA Schools facing two familiar opponents in England and France. Les Bleus and the Roses kicked the series off at Boland Landbou, with ‘Le Crunch’ taking place on African soil, where the English cruised their way to a 41-0 win over their Northern Hemisphere foes.
SA Schools didn’t get their campaign off to the best start against France suffering a 37-24 defeat to a French side that showed great character to bounce back from their loss to the English, While England showed why they’re looking like the best team at the tournament, after hammering the Western Province XV side 78-15 at Stellenberg High School on Tuesday.
Coach, Katlego Lynch and his SA Schools side are going to have their work cut out for them as they prepare to take on a very dangerous England side on Saturday at Paarl Boys’ High. SA Schools will look to end their campaign on a positive and who better to beat than the English? From what we’ve seen so far, that result looks unlikely, but with that being said, the most dangerous version of a South African national rugby team, is a wounded one! Before that match France will look to secure a consecutive victory against the Western Province XV.
