From the Field to Finals

The Final Stretch! 🏁

As we approach the end of the school sports season and enter exam time, the matrics are focused on their studies and preparations for finals. We're still bringing you the sport you care about most.

To close out the month we have arguably the best two tournaments in their respective sports both, happening this week and weekend, The Saints Water Polo Invitational and The Inanda Hoops at St David’s Marist, where the best stayers teams around the country will battle it out in the pool and on the court from 24-27 October. South Africa’s top pipeline for PSL stars, the Gauteng Development League will still be showing in its dedicated Sunday slot!

Last year we gave a shoutout to all the magical moments and phenomenal athletes that wowed us throughout the year in the Class of 2023. With so much talent on display this year, it’s only fitting that we do it again! Stay tuned to DStv Channel 216 and all our social and digital platforms in the coming weeks and months, as we’re excited to bring you the Class of 2024! Who do you think will make it this year?

Did you know?

Airlink offers generous baggage allowances across all ticket types. Economy Class passengers enjoy 20kg of free checked luggage, while full-fare Economy Class (Y-Class) travelers receive 30kg at no extra cost. Business Class passengers also benefit from a 30kg free baggage allowance. #TimetoSHINE✨- October SPOTLIGHT

This month’s second feature in the October SPOTLIGHT on SuperSport Schools is Inathi Masinga.

The Maritzburg College student has received a full Basketball scholarship to the Southeastern Preparatory Academy in Orlando, Florida. He won MVP at the Jenny Orchard Invitational Basketball Tournament where College took down Northwood in the final.

In September he represented the South African U18 Men’s team at the FIBA Afrobasket Tournament in Pretoria and ended his season winning MVP for the Maritzburg College 1st V Basketball team.
